SEMICutilizes cutting-edge technology to ensure the safety of our equipment. We understand our role in your productivity, which is why having a partner like SEMIC is so important. We have extensive experience in the design and manufacture of high-capacity overhead cranes, backed by over 8,600 completed projects. Service quality is the most important factor when selecting a crane, which is why SEMIC offers high-quality equipment manufactured with our own advanced engineering expertise.

Double-girder cranes are used in a wide range of needs, in accordance with the CMAA standard:

  • CLASS A for infrequent service cranes.
  • CLASS B for light loads.
  • CLASS C for moderate service.
  • CLASS D for heavy-duty applications.
  • CLASS E for very heavy capacities.
  • CLASS F special type of the above classification, used for high load demands, erequires constant use of the crane during long working days and on wich production capacity depends.

We highlight what could be the most important factor in crane selection, one that is often overlooked: the crane's SERVICE CLASS. From the moment our clients express their needs, we advise them on defining the appropriate service class for optimal equipment selection.

Single-girder overhead traveling cranes

The application of single-mast overhead cranes, according to their characteristics, is suitable for light and medium capacities; we can find them in:

SUPPORTED: When the heads with their wheels are supported on rails located on rail beams.

SUSPENDED: When the wheels of the headers are suspended below rail beams. The rail beams are fixed to the roof of the industrial building.

WITH HANGING WINCH: A high-quality, highly durable winch is used, suspended from a motorized trolley that runs under the crane bridge.

WITH WINCH AND LOW-HEIGHT TROLLEY: In this case, the winch is mounted on a fixed base on the trolley to one side of the bridge, and a counterweight is placed on the other side for balance. This arrangement is used when maximum lifting height (hook travel) is required with a low-height building.

WITH HOIST: When the use will be light.

MANUAL CRANES:The simplest type and it is recommended that they do not exceed 3 tons, however it is possible to design them for greater lifting capacity if necessary.
